"Son of Man" Poem by Vini Pandya, Author of I Touched the Hem of His Garment

Pierced and crushed,
Beaten and whipped,
Man of sorrows,
Carrying our sins.

Drenched in blood,
Crowned with thorns,
Rejected He walked,
True love, He taught.

Oppressed and condemned,
Struck down and ashamed,
Unjustly pained,
Without sin got stained.

Bearing the insult,
Not worrying about the result,
Sharing the humanness,
His love was like madness.

Sorrow and grief
Befriended Him,
Pain and suffering
Were close to Him.

Restoring the souls,
Rebuilding the walls,
Healing the wounded,
His love never ended.
