My first 10-Piece Collection, Spring de Fleur, is now LIVE in the SHOP!

Happy Saturday, all!

Well, as some of you may have followed along, today is my launch day of my first oil painting collection, Spring de Fleur. I have been working daily on this collection since December 21st of last year, minus the holidays.

This collection means so much to me; for one, it took a lot in me to temporarily step away from realism to dabble into impressionism. But, needless to say, I fell in love with painting all over again and it's just what my painterly heart needed.

Painting for me is a way of worship to my Father. For those that know me, I have been painting for 10 years, and I always feel so very near to Him while having a brush in my hand. Feel welcome to read my artist statement below, and see photos of my Spring de Fleur Collection available in my Etsy shop.

My hope for this impressionistic fleur collection is to elude the character and nature of God within every brush stroke of paint. To exude stillness--peace--among something as fragile as flowers, to me, reflects the hope we have as image bearers of Christ. Though we may be fragile in nature, we are wholly strong in God. As an artist, my prayer is that this collection would whisper deep-rooted truths into the hopeless and instill a peace that grows over time, even though we may be outwardly wasting away. "The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.” Isaiah 40:8
