Spring de Fleur Collection of Floral Impressionistic Oil Paintings

I’m so excited to announce my Spring de Fleur Collection! Sounds a little French-inspired, right?
For my abstract floral paintings, I use Charvin oil paints shipped straight from Paris, France. I desired to paint a collection that spoke to my heart and also allowed me to breathe.
For ten years, I typically painted in the style of realism, as you can see below. I minored in art back in college and grew a fond love for oil painting. This was my first self-portrait. I tend to use “light” seeping into my canvas to better reflect folds. I also love natural colours.
While painting realism is a beautiful way of painting, it took nearly three weeks to complete a single painting. Needless to say,

This, aside from realism, has become one of my favorite expressions and styles of art. I can't wait to teach my art students this next semester. I desire to express my love for God’s creation, His character, Him—gentle and beautiful—in the form of impressionism. It’s my way of glorifying Him through the joy He’s given me in painting.
