Told through the lens of one woman’s spiritual journey, McKenna Vietti gently guides readers through complex questions about purpose, vocation, and identity. Relying on biblical wisdom and reflective prose, Prothesis draws the reader to rest in God—despite holy laments and broken dreams—and intentionally live up to one’s unique calling.
“Prothesis: Losing Myself to Find Him is a beautiful book that depicts the journey of a young woman to her true purpose and identity. By sharing her quest for meaning and a purposeful life, McKenna Vietti shows us that self-discovery is only possible as part of knowing God. Letting go of our own plans, dreams, and expectations and letting God direct our lives and shape our hearts is the key to becoming and living in harmony with our true selves. This book is a powerful reminder that being is before doing and, in the doing, we find the being.”
—Hadassah Treu, author of Draw Near: How Painful Experiences Become the Birthplace of Blessings, speaker, artist, award-winning blogger and writer at onthewaybg.com.
”Through sincere stories of unrealized dreams, unexpected loss, and the unpredictability of young adult life, McKenna gently and genuinely shares her journey of discovering true and lasting purpose… the same purpose we are all desperately seeking, are invited to, and can claim ourselves.”
