The Woman Who Fears the Lord by Mandi Bender

The woman who fears the Lord.

Not only the wife,

not only the mother,

but the woman who fears the Lord.

It is the starting place for all that she becomes,

all that she accomplishes,

and who she is at her core.

The source of wisdom she holds to consider a field and buy it,

The strength that she is able to clothe herself in,

The well she draws from to provide for the poor,

and the purpose to start her day.

It’s why her children will, one day, praise her.

It’s why her husband will, one day, gaze at her.

Although, it’s not only who she will become,

but the foundation she builds on today.

It’s why she can be trusted

because she knows The One whom she trusts.

The woman who fears the Lord.

My name is Mandi Rae Bender. I am 23 years old, currently teaching, reading, and writing in the state of Kentucky. I think there is great power in the pen when used for the glory of God. My only ambition is to magnify Christ’s name and reach as many souls as possible during my time here on earth.
