"The Black and White Photograph" by Vince Adamo

Lake Irene, Rocky Mountain National Park

An image so arranged

  with notes devoid of sound.

In scales of grey and white

  and tonal brilliance bound.

Displays a scene unique in time,

caught and held upon a breath.

From an eye within the mind

  forever now embraced.

Around we gather,

  hear its story.

To each it speaks

of love or loss or glory.

And there it finds its height,

  to which its landscapes rise,

Fulfilled in purpose,

  to praise our heavenly prize.

I actively pursue my interest in the field of fine art photography while working full-time as a software developer in Marshall, Texas. I have spent quite a bit of time with my photography across the state of Texas, but also venture across the country, frequently to Northern Colorado, and on rare occasions, across the world.

My work focuses on an artistic exploration of our created world in both digital black and white and color landscape photography.  My black and white photography attempts to capture and present engaging landscapes with rich, tonal ranges.  My color photography carries my interest in landscapes into the world of color, applying an artistic impression to my work through digital post-processing effects.
