Sea Glass Psalm by Analee Kirby Kluge

I bare my
sea-glass soul
along the shifting sand,
a little hybrid gem
resting in my hand.

Beaten but unbroken
ever churned by the tide,
deep calls to deep
beneath these breakers
where I hide.

Here against this ocean
my burdens soon depart,
the alchemy of God’s love
ever renewing
my weathered heart.

I bare my
sea-glass soul
along the even sand,
a little hybrid gem
shining in my hand.

Analee Kirby Kluge lives and writes near the beach in northeast Florida with her husband and three young children. Her speculative fiction and poetry has appeared in publications from Allegory Ridge, Haunted Waters Press, Barren Magazine, Raven Review, and in Kairos Literary Magazine.
