"Restored" Poem by John Alexander

My glass was near empty, but now it is full.
I can once again soar and spread wings like a gull.

The joy that’s inside me was just a dim light.
This morning it’s glowing and once again bright.

Lord, thank you for clearing the clutter away,
To help me see clearly, You’re with me each day.

You’re walking beside me. I’ll stumble, not fall.
When I’m lost in the forest, You’re there when I call.

At times when I’m weary when I’m off the trail
You’re still there beside me, to help me not fail.

I’m thankful for the love that’s enduring and true,
For restoring the joy in my heart I once knew.

I pray that I cling to the joy You restore.
It’s a treasure, not something to lose or ignore.

Lord help me see clearly and give me insight,
As I share with others Your love and Your light.
