Miracle of Miracles by Barbara Jean Gravlee

I stepped into a miracle
Its depths I do not know
But swirling, smooth reflections
Of a light I cannot see
Called to me

I stepped into a miracle
Its waters warm and sweet
Gently flowed around me
Held me to my feet
And drew me in

I stepped into a miracle
Its light grows strong and clear
Muffled shouts from shore ring out
But they grow dim
As I draw near

I stepped into a miracle
It cannot be contained!
As ripples rise, spread far and wide
Joy courses through my veins
And I look up

Oh, miracle of miracles
That You would call to me
There will never be a surer fit
Or place I’d rather be
For I stepped into a miracle
And You drew near to me

Barbara Jean Gravlee lives in Bainbridge, GA, having moved from Florida to be close to her son and his family.  She is settling into life as a semi-retired grandmother who loves being called Nana by six grandsons! She came to Christ at age 27 and raised her son as a single parent. Her poetry writing began as a means of processing painful memories and emotions. The Holy Spirit continues to minister to her through writing. It has been a great joy to her as well to see the poetry minister to others. She believes the Lord has allowed her to be broken so she can minister the truth of God’s love to others who are hurting.
