Mercy; The Love Story by Anne Blanchette

Annie Spratt

God loved a boy, and that boy could not comprehend.

The darkness blinded him and consumed his every sense, but there would come a day, a day of amends.

As that day drew near, it all became so very clear,

From the depths of his pain, there was One who was calling his name.

Beyond the shadows was the light of Mercy, and with kindness and love, He came from above.

Not a moment too early, nor a moment too late, but in perfect time He came to complete this man’s fate.

The boy, who grew to be a man, would come to know and live the story of God’s plan.

The story of love, brought by Mercy from above, came to save this man who was dearly loved.

It would be no other, but the Lord’s embrace, that would come to restore joy to this man’s face.

In His arms rest assured, home was where a great welcome was heard.

On that day, when all seemed lost, freedom was found, at long last!

This man, on a broken knee, found his life was now set free.

Free to see, free to know, free to join the Saviour who loved him so.

When all seemed lost, and pain set in, that would not be the end that would draw him in, he would be saved by a love that would never end.

This beautiful story of Mercy, was in fact the very Love story, that while written long ago, was planned with eyes set on this boy below.

My brother, my friend, it is now that your life begins.
