Cape by Katharine Grubb

This
way,
through
patches of
seagrass, His
love stretches beyond
Plymouth.

That
way,
across
shells, seaweed, His
mercy reaches worlds
further than Provincetown.

“My
faithfulness
is wider than the
beach,” He says.

Sky
around me,
I cling to him,
sand on wet skin.

Katharine Grubb is a homeschool mother, poet, independent novelist, non-fiction author, bread baker, wannabe adventurer, and children’s ministry coordinator from Massachusetts who wishes the had the makings for tacos.
