Belonging by Kaleigh Raulerson

The warm glow of a fire
It pops and crackles as it illuminates a sense of home
A long table stretched out beside it
Every seat full, yet somehow, there’s always room for one more
Lepers and prostitutes
Orphans and widows
Drunkards and criminals
Dirty and downcast
Oppressed and oppressors

You would be surprised who shows up at the table

Whosoever will, may come
The Host has been waiting for you
Welcome home

Kaleigh Raulerson has lived most of her life in Cartersville, Georgia, and currently resides there with her daughter. She may be biased, but she thoroughly believes their quaint little town is what small-town dreams are made of. Kaleigh’s faith in the Lord has been forged through various trials and failures through life’s journey. Writing has been an avenue of healing, restoration, and worship, which you will find to be the theme of many of her pieces. On any given day, you can find Kaleigh hand in hand with her daughter and a good, strong cup of coffee.
