All I Need by Adrian David

When my heart was poisoned with gloom,
you came and healed my wounds.
You are my antidote.

When my life was barren and parched,
you arrived as a drizzle in the desert.
You are my oasis.

When darkness engulfed my world,
you glowed as a twinkle of hope.
You are my morning star.

When the waves crashed down,
you kept me from going astray.
You are my anchor.

When no one believed in me,
you held my hand, standing by my side.
You are the shoulder I lean on.

When the storm raged around me,
your embrace brought me inner peace.
You are the calm to my chaos.

When I was suffocated by despair,
you breathed new life into me.
You are my breath of fresh air.

You are my life; you are my dream.
You are my heart; you are my soul.
You are my everything,
forever.

Adrian David writes ads by day and poetry by night. His poems explore themes like faith, love, hope, and everything in between, from the mundane to the sublime.
