Willow (A Woman’s Prayer) by B. L. Eckhart

I want to be like the willow tree,
standing sure and peacefully.
Constantly close to living water,
giving to God my sons and daughters.
Feeling the breeze between my fingers,
Immovable
when winter and squalling storms linger.
At rest
when my hair is wild in the wind,
with weak arms and cracking skin.
Ever bowing to the Son.
Ever His
in His love.
As an artist, writer, and children’s book author, B.L. Eckhart loves bringing whimsical stories and meaningful art to life. Her ultimate goal is to share beauty through images and words, using her creative process to bring others closer to God. She is also a proud wife and mother of two.
