Christ Hears Us by Esther Elliot

Mary and I welcomed Him into our home. 

Mary, her face filled with admiration and wonder, listened as He spoke.  

He spoke firmly and compassionately.

Authoritatively and kindly.  

He listened attentively to the cries of our hearts and minds.

Overwhelmed by household chores, I called out to Him.  

I begged for my sister to help me. He responded calmly...

His gentle tone reminded me that I am not alone.  

Esther Elliott is a graduate student at Regent University pursuing a degree in curriculum and instruction. She has a bachelor’s degree in history from Malone University. She aspires to be a teacher and a journalist, and hopes to work for a Christian education organization.
