Prayer of My Heart by Esther Marie

Created in God’s image, I am a reflection of Him.

I am so much more than a flower in the wind.

Clothed in righteousness and everlasting life,

I am rooted deeply in the love of Christ.

But when I am overwhelmed by the ocean’s tide,

He is my surest peace and guide.

And when I think I can no longer stand,

He lifts me up by His right hand.

This is Your promise, Lord, to me,

Where Your Spirit is, I am free.

So let this prayer of my heart be true,

May I ever only live for You.

May I live in victory and walk in grace,

Filled with hope and Your great faith.

May I move the mountains standing in my way

As I love your heart more every day.

May I be the light glorifying You Name.

This is the prayer my life will proclaim.

My name is Esther Gonzales, I am a poet, writer, journalist, and Sunday school teacher from New Jersey. I have always loved writing ever since I can remember. I believe everyone has a story to tell and if we look close enough, we see God's love and grace woven throughout each of our lives. Through my writing, I hope to give others a glimpse of who God is by sharing all the ways He has been there for me.
