Gratitude by Maria Rockhill

Annie Spratt

For the sunshine and the rain
For the harvest's bursting grain
For the droughts and floods that drain
We give You thanks.

For the gift of bodies whole
For sharp minds to grasp and mull
For long pain and psyche's toll
We give You thanks.

For the bonds of brother, sis
For the joys of wedded bliss
For the ache of love amiss
We give You thanks.

For the walls that carve us home
For the earth's protective dome
For the knowledge that we roam
We give You thanks.

Hang our lives in balanced scale
Woven bright with dark detail
By The One Who rent the veil
We give Thee thanks.

From The Father through His Son
With The Spirit-All or none
Who lost everything and won.
We give You thanks.
Always, do we give You thanks.

I'm a published author of one juvenile nonfiction title, "Peace by Piece," published in 2015 by Westbow Press, available on Amazon, and carried by Crown and Covenant Publications.
