The spring blossoms bloom as the Holy Child
Blesses every creature—nothing idle.
He makes all creatures smile with glee.
He gives them a choice, so they are free.

He gives free will to reach new heights.
He smiles while all make peace—then unites.
In spring, kindly says he, remember me.
Remember how I suffered. Now you’re free!

Yet, people are ungrateful for his gift.
His soul they tear apart—away they drift.
A trickle runs down his cheek, he says,
Remember, you are mine, with a solemn gaze.

I love you, even still, he endearingly declares.
Love him back; look at the giant cross he bears.
When all flowers bloom, remember the One.
He, with his cross, your heart freed and won.

You see everything is truly great,
There’s only joy, no more hate,
Now laughter fills your soul.
The Lord has made you free and made you whole.

A.S. Chuba is a 13-year-old girl in the eighth grade with a strong passion for poetry. She enjoys writing open-form and free-verse poetry. She lives in Canada with her parents and four little siblings. She hopes to continue writing throughout her life and maybe bring a few people back into the True Fold, a life with Jesus Christ.
