'Twas Glass by Carmanie Bhatti

‘Twas glass that made all faces look the same
Voices with no delay of the chorus
Until time lapsed and took me to the woods
To show me it ain’t done nothing on its own!
Fruit and strength of the trees came in due season
All because Grace had not forgotten to visit them,
So why the boast?
Time stood by waiting for me there,
To speak the truth and carry me on wings,
For me to sleep in the lap of the abode
that some call a country,
home of the brave and land of the free!
