Table for 5,000 by Mark Hanley

“Table
for
5,000,”
he
said
humbly.

The
innkeeper
said,
“no room,”
and
Mary
cried.

“Table
for
5,000,”
He
said
gently.

And
the
Cana
revelers
didn’t
blink
an eye.

“Table
for
5,000,”
he cried.

And the
centurion
tore into His
side.

And then
Heaven’s
Bounty
Basket
overflowed.

And
the
New Manna
fed
a spiritually
starving
world

And the Virgin
gave
birth

And the water
became
wine

And Simeon
saw the
Light
of the
Israelites

And a thief
was raised
up
with a Shepherd
on that
Third Day.

And all
was right
yet again
with that
Eve
Garden
paradise.
