Love Divine by Katie Setterberg

A love that came as a child,
and grew up into a man.
A love that did no wrong,
yet let nails through his hands.

A love that said I’ll do it,
even though it means my death.
A love that says I knew you
from before you took a breath.

A love that says I’m with you
in the valley of the shadow.
A love that says I see you
even though I know you’re doubting.

A love that says I hear you
when you cry out from the pit.
A love that says I saved you,
and I’d do it all again.

A love that lets me ask,
Are you mighty like the lion
or meek like the lamb?
A love that always answers, I AM.
