He Holds My Tears by DM Bucher

Marcus Paulo Prado

I plead for mercy.
Broken within;
Agonies of regret.

I seek compassion
In my weakness,
I cry Rescue!
Does He hear?

Tears cannot cleanse
The wounds of regret.
Tears though rivers
Cannot restore stolen joy.

Grief blurs my vision
Yet my heart sees,
Searches in darkness,
As blind, yet hopes.

Hopes in your love,
Unfailing love that
Pours forth mercy,
Rescues, restores, keeps.

The dead offer no praise,
They have no hope.
Though death beckons,
Yet I remain.

Though the enemy mocks,
Yet I stand.
For my God has heard,
My tears He holds.

He will answer
His rescue is sure.
No evil stands
Before Him.

My enemy flees
Terrified, disgraced-
While I, my
Restoration dare embrace.
