Discernment by Lea Emmett

Staring through the fog of sin

I fight to perceive what pleases Him

My eyes strain to distinguish right from wrong

Lord, renew and rewire my mind

Through trials and testing

He was both my fire and refiner all along

Knowing what’s right

I fail more times than I’d like to admit

Sin winning but not defining

I zero in on His might

Behold, He is holy

As I yearn for clarity

Sanctify me and mature me

Lord, reveal to me what is good

And

Right

And

True
