A Portrait in the Sky by Manndi Wilkins

Stricken breathless by your vibrant works;
Caught up in a firestorm of beauty.
How can I fathom the beauty of heaven;
When your hand created such a visual portrait of the earth?

The cross I see high in the sky;
A reminder you sit upon the throne.
A kindred way to touch my heart;
Your constant goodness compares to none.

The orange glow of fire;
Blinds my very eyes.
The intensity of my desire;
Your beauty fills the skies.

I hasten every breath to you;
Yet still upon your throne.
You wait with loving hands;
For me to seek you as my own.

Today wrapped up in blazing glory;
Your artist’s pallet never fails.
I thank you, Lord…for this, my story;
A gentle wind to humbly guide my sails.
