Open Arms by Sandy Brannan

The house sits, quiet in its stillness as it waits.
Often empty, it’s never not full.
It waits, adorned and ready.
Hopeful.
Full of compassion and mercy.

The doors remain unlocked, day and night.
It listens, ready to hear the faint squeak.
Ready with welcoming arms.
Patient.
Full of love and kindness.

The house has always been this way, throughout eternity.
Ever since sin entered the world, darkness spreading.
The white walls wash clean all who enter.
Salvation.
Full of forgiveness and mercy.
