My Beautiful Imperfection by Nancy Lopez

As I look in the mirror, I see

The girl. The beautiful women standing before me

Through the years, the image I saw

Left me feeling broken, hurt, and raw

I thought superficial beauty was the key

I didn’t understand beauty lies within

Unable to speak my thoughts that’s my flaw

Now I realize its the greatest gift of all

When in my hand I hold my notebook and my pen

I forget the world and find the perfect words within

Loving, caring, these feelings at times are a bit too much

This has shown me the sensitivity of the human touch 

When with my poems or a simple hug, I can change someone’s day

The universe is showing me there is something bigger at play

I’m a masterpiece what a creation

Perfect in every way, I embrace My Beautiful Imperfections

Nancy E Campos is an aspiring poet from the United States of America writing from Houston, Texas. Her works tell of life experiences, nature, beauty, love, pain, and the beauty of the imagination.
