If I by Cassie Jeans

If I could glimpse at glory,

I’d stare at the lake

and watch as the sun's rays

reflected on the waves.

If I could capture peace,

I’d lay my head on

grassy knolls where

deer have trodded and

I’d listen to the stream.

If I could emulate wonder,

I’d climb a mountain peak,

and watch the mighty wings

of eagles soaring effortlessly.

But all of this is nothing,

mere chasing the wind.

For all I seek to capture is already His.

God is the

glory and peace,

the wonder in everything.

Cassie Jeans is from Ontario Canada where she lives with her loving husband and two beautiful children. God stepped into her life in a miraculous and convicting way showing her his infallible truth and holy redemption. Cassie writes on her blog, God Before Me, and openly shares what God has done in her life. Hebrews 10:39 is a verse close to her heart.
